Enterprise Support for new Debian GNU/Linux Version 4.0 (Etch)

Support for unlimited Debian servers at a flat rate

Rugby, 8 April 2007 - credativ's Open Source Support Centre (OSSC) offers extensive service and support packages for the newly released Debian GNU/Linux 4.0, adding to the range of services tailored to the needs of larger businesses.

The OSSC offers a unique service that goes far beyond the standard support offerings of commercial Linux distributions. Its enterprise support package contains 100 support hours as standard, which can be used for any service available from the OSSC or the consultancy and training services offered by credativ. This includes support for other mainstream Linux distributions such as SuSE and Red Hat. The support packages offered by the OSSC are modular and completely independent of the number of Linux servers or desktops used.

Michael Amstadt, head of marketing for credativ said: ?With our enterprise support offering we provide a unique service. Our customers benefit from the combination of comprehensive service and support for all their Linux systems, together with support for the entire open source environment of their businesses. All support hours can be used either for support or for other services. These include administrative work, consultation and training. Thus every business will receive guaranteed benefits while maintaining completeontrol of their costs.?

About Debian

Debian GNU/Linux is a free operating system, created by over a thousand volunteers worldwide working together over the internet. It is unique among GNU/Linux distributions in striving to provide a universal operating system containing purely free software using an open development model.

The Debian project achieves its strength through its large base of devoted volunteers, who work within the framework of the Debian Social Contract to create the best operating system available. Debian 4.0 is another important step in this direction.
