Assistant Free Software Engineer
Location: Rugby, UK
Job Description:
To assist the technical team in our Open Source Support Centre. You will be working on open source projects as well as providing customer support, bug fixing and troubleshooting.
Required skills and experience:
- Able to demonstrate a genuine interest in Open Source and the free software community.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A flexible, motivated approach to tasks
Desired skills and experience:
- Some knowledge of object orientated programming languages: Python, C++, Java, Ruby, Perl or C
- A technical or scientific degree
- System/network administration experience
- Experience with Postgres, OpenERP or monitoring systems
- Participation in or working towards contributing to Open Source projects
